May McLean (June 22nd, 1918 - December 22nd, 2015)

Mary R. “May” McLean, 97 years young, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Atria in Kennebunk. 
May was a devout Catholic. It was not uncommon for her to pray the Rosary three times a day. She was a member of Sodality at St. Mary’s, and was a communicant of St. Martha’s in Kennebunk. God, religion, and family were her passions. May also loved the ocean and spending time on the beach.

May was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Allan Gregory McLean in 2002, her daughter, Mary Ellen, and her two brothers, Vincent “Paul” Riordan and J. Robert “Bob” Riordan.

She is survived by her two sons, Allan Gregory “Greg” McLean of Brookline, MA, Brian J. McLean and wife Marilyn of Wheaton, IL; two grandchildren, Patrick McLean and wife Rose, Ellen Marie Haight and husband Kyle; three great grandchildren, Mary “Mae” McLean, Carmine McLean, Knox Haight; nephews Dennis and John, and niece Paula.

Donald Blais (October 28, 2015)

Our hearts are heavy for the loss of Donald Blais, longtime camper and resident of cottage 315. Don's friendly smiles, waves and conversation from his front porch along the road will be greatly missed around the village. A wake will be held at the John Breen Funeral Home, 122 Amesbury St, Lawrence, on Monday, 11/2 from 4-8 PM. Services will be held on Tuesday, 11/3 @ Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Road, Salem, NH (10:30 AM).

Sherwood Marshall (August 21st, 2015)

Mr. Sherwood Marshall, longtime camper, passed away on August 21st. Sherwood owned and enjoyed cottage 138 (old C31) for many years. He is survived by his wife Joyce as well as two sons and their families. Mr. Marshall often spent his summer mornings baking amazing breads and muffins. He is surely missed around the village.

Marie Guinta (July 4th, 2015)

Mrs. Marie K. (Sullivan) Giunta, 86, of Salem, beloved wife of Anthony "Tony" Giunta, died July 4th, 2015 at Kaplan Family Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.

Marie was a long time camper and her family continues to spend time in the village each summer. 

Betty Richardson (October 15th, 1926 - July 2nd, 2015)

Richardson, Elizabeth E. (Broderick) "Betty" Of Medford, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was 88. Born in Boston on Oct. 15, 1926, Elizabeth was a homemaker who was happiest spending time with and raising her family.

Betty was a longtime camper and friend of many in our summer community.

Al Judge (February 13th, 2015)

Alfred J. Judge, Jr., 92, died peacefully with family at Hartford Hospital on February 13, 2015.

Al and his wife, Betty, were the longtime former owners of lot 214, and Dad and father-in-law to Jack and Shirley in lot 208. Although we will miss him greatly, he lived a long and happy life, including many wonderful summers in Ogunquit.

He was the son of the late Alfred and Henrietta (Loree) Judge, Sr. He and his loving wife Elizabeth (Betty) Bonan Judge were high school sweethearts and had been married for 71 years. He lived in Rockville most of his life until recently moving to Avery Heights in Hartford. Al was a proud veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corps in the South Pacific. A truly patriotic man, he never passed an American Flag without saluting. Al worked for 35 years for the Southern New England Telephone Company before retiring in 1982. He was a 50 plus year member of the Rockville Union Congregational Church. Al was very active with his two sons, coaching Little League and Town Basketball. He was a lifetime member of the Rockville and Coventry Fish and Game Clubs and loved to fish and be outdoors. Besides his wife Betty, he leaves his sons; Jack Judge and his wife Shirley, Robert Judge and his wife Bonnie; his daughter Diane Peskurich, his grandchildren; Craig Judge, Serena Judge, Cara Revett, Christine Peskurich, Alaina Judge and 4 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may join the family on Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 10 - 11 am at The Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville. A Funeral Home Service will follow at 11:00. Daniel Sheridan (December 12, 1954 - December 8, 2014 )

Daniel Sheridan of Fort Myers Beach, Florida and Wells, Maine passed away suddenly on Monday, December 8, 2014. He was 59 years old.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Fahimeh A. Sheridan; his mother Janet (MacKay) Sheridan; his brother Robert Sheridan; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his father Robert E. Sheridan and his sister Lynn (Sheridan) Roman. Daniel was born on December 12, 1954 in New York City, New York and lived in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine before retiring to Fort Myers Beach, Florida. He worked for many years as a Truck Mechanic for United Parcel Service in Chelmsford, Massachusetts and always enjoyed spending time on the beach in Ogunquit, Maine and Fort Myers. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
